Work in the medium of your choice. Expert tuition and support. Our Tutors are able to cope with the needs of absolute beginners as well as those of experienced students.

Tutored Classes

For those who want expert guidance to improve certain aspects of their artwork we run tutored classes. These run in 10 week blocks and we have 3 blocks throughout the year taking a break for summer holidays.

Untutored Classes

Those who wish to just practice with the company of others without the guidance of a tutor we run untutored classes.

For these classes you bring your own materials and work alongside fellow artists. Share ideas and learn from each other. All levels of ability welcome. Nominal fee charged.

Our Venue for Classes

Oakbank Community Centre

Our classes all take place here in the community centre which is on a main bus route and there is plenty of parking behind.

Parking at rear of building and there is a regular bus service (Nos 8 & 12), to the Centre.

Untutored Classes

Untutored classes: 14 September 2026-19 April 2027, Mondays 7-9pm. Christmas break 21 and 28 December

Bring your own materials and work alongside fellow artists.

Share ideas and learn from each other. All levels of ability welcome. Nominal fee charged.

Tutored Classes

EACH BLOCK MUST BE BOOKED INDIVIDUALLY

Fees for each block of 10 Tutored Classes: £70 for Members and £100 for Non-Members. (Please note that if a place is offered, these fees are non-returnable other than in exceptional circumstances).

Those in Block 1 2026 joining Block 2 2026 – by 27 October 2026
Those in Block 2 2026 joining Block 3 2027 – by 19 January 2027
Those in Block 3 2026 joining Block 1 2026 – by 18 August 2026

After those dates vacant places in the class will be open to others and offered on a first come basis for each block. There is a short waiting list for classes and those on the waiting list will be informed if there is a place after these deadlines. Unsuccessful candidates will be contacted by the class co-ordinator.
