Evening Lectures and Workshops

We host evening demonstrations / lectures from well known guest artists which cover a variety of subjects. We also hold workshops which are run by guest artists for those of you who want to get their hands dirty.

Demonstrations / Lectures

These evenings are free to current paid-up members of the Association and open to non-members on payment of £5.00 on the door. They are held in the Lecture Theatre, Perth Museum and Art Gallery, 78 George Street, Perth PH1 5LB, commencing at 7.30pm and finishing by 9.30pm.  Teas and coffees are served mid-way through the evening, with nominal charge of £1.00 per cup.

Wheelchair accessible and induction loop operational.

All events are subject to the Governments’ ever-changing rules re Covid. The Committee has organised our 2021/22 year with the optimistic view that ‘normality’ may return re restrictions. However please be aware that as we all know, circumstances may change.  

 

Workshops

 FEE PER WORKSHOP:  Member – £15.00    Non-member – £20.00

Workshops are from 10am – 2.30pm, with half an hour for lunch. Please bring your own lunch. Teas, coffees and biscuits are provided and there are good kitchen facilities if needed.

They are held at The Scout Hall, Perth Academy, Oakbank Crescent, Perth. (Just inside the academy carpark main entrance)

Please arrive about 9.45am to get set up.

BOOKINGS: Will be taken on a first come first served basis after distribution of the prospectus. Each workshop is limited to a maximum of 12 attendees.

FEARLESS WATERCOLOURS

Perthshire artist, Graham Wands, has a bold take on watercolours. This medium can be dashing and full of energy when painted with fearless abandon.
