Always a popular figure with PAA members, Albie’s demo attracted an audience of around 29 members and kicked off the new season at the PAG with an absorbing presentation of how he approaches and develops a landscape painting in acrylics using a limited palette of colours.
Albie – as is his norm, supplied a wealth of information and handed out many of the useful tips that he has gleaned over his years of teaching. He pointed out that a similar sized painting would normally take him around 15 hours to produce to his satisfaction, but worked up a section of the painting to a degree to demonstrate his eventual aim, producing an atmospheric and accomplished image.
